“Faire is the Heaven” is a lavish Spring concert showcasing some of the most beautiful English choral music, both old and new. We are very lucky indeed to have secured guest conductor Michael Sanderson to take charge, and the concert will include pieces by Henry Purcell, William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons and others before coming up to more recent times with the ever popular Britten cantata “Rejoice in the Lamb”. Look out also for John Tavener’s famous settings of ‘The Lamb’ and ‘The Tyger’. The concert’s title is taken from the lovely anthem “Faire is the Heaven” by William Harris.
