Cookham Village

We’re lucky to sing in such a beautiful area.

St John the Babtist Church at Cookham Dean
Our regular rehearsal space is St John the Baptist Church at Cookham Dean SL6 9PD, across the road from the Jolly Farmer.

When a concert is in preparation, rehearsals take place on Mondays and Fridays starting at 8.00pm sharp. The number of rehearsals necessary for each concert is normally between eight and ten, depending on the complexity of the work.

Holy Trinity Church Rehearsals also occasionally take place at Holy Trinity Church SL6 9SP, the famous Stanley Spencer one beside the river in Cookham Village.

Both these beautiful locations are performance venues, too, but All Saints’ Church by the river in Marlow SL7 2AA is much larger, with a stunning setting and sympathetic acoustic for orchestral concerts. We also enjoy the opportunity, and sometimes the challenge, of performing in a variety of other venues. For example, a Valentine’s evening of witty and light music takes place every two years at Liston Hall, also in Marlow. Norden Farm Arts Centre, Maidenhead, offers excellent theatrical facilities and box office, while an exciting recent venture was a London Christmas concert in St Paul’s, Covent Garden.
