A celebration of Benjamin Britten on the 50th anniversary of his passing.

Cantorum are delighted to be collaborating with St Paul’s Girls’ School, Hammersmith, for a performance of the cantata St Nicolas, which recounts vivid stories of the life of the legendary 4th century Bishop of Myra. Ben Alden (tenor) takes the part of St Nicolas, with Finn Miall as the young Nicolas. The accompaniment is provided by piano duet, organ, strings and percussion. We will also showcase other much loved works by Britten, including Rejoice in the Lamb and Hymn to St Cecilia.
